      George M. Nelson, age 73, of Sandy Creek, died April 24, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Mr. Mike's and the Cedar Post Restaurants in Pulaski and the Silvermine Restaurant in Sandy Creek.

      Survived by 2 daughters, Colleen (Jeff) Weaver of Painted Post, N.Y., and Toni (Dean) Nicholson of Pulaski; 3 sons, Patrick (Sharon) Nelson of Zephyr Cove, NV, Grant (Kathy) Nelson of Kennebunk, Maine, and Garth Nelson of Hailey, Idaho; 9 grandchildren, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and several nieces and nephews.

      Memorial services will be Thursday at 12 noon at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, N.Y. Friends may call Thursday 10 to 12 prior to the service at the funeral home.
