      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 27, 1935 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Daysville, June 24 - Death came to our community again last Sunday and has taken from us our young friend "Jimmie" Atkinson. Claude James Atkinson was born December 28th 1919, son of John and Cassie Joyner Atkinson. He was taken ill with measles, pneumonia developed and Saturday, June 15th he was removed to Memorial hospital, Syracuse, where he passed away Sunday morning. He was a student in Pulaski High School and a member of Daysville M. E. church and Sunday school where he will be greatly missed by the host of friends his sunny, fun loving disposition won for him wherever he went. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his parents, three brothers, Carl, Kenneth and Bradford and two sisters, Miss Gladys Atkinson, Pulaski and Mrs. Mabel Ladd of Central Square. His funeral was held from Daysville church, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. George Butler officiating. Burial in Daysville cemetery.
