Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 3, 1885 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - On Wednesday morning of last week, the body of Frank M. White was found on the road leading from the farm of Delos Brooks to that of John Meacham, about one and one-half miles northeast from this village. He was found in a most singular condition, upon both knees, elbows on the ground, and his head also resting on the ground. It seems that Dr. Kelley had been attending Mr. White for some time. He states the immediate cause of death was either pulmonary apoplexy or congestion. The jury summoned by Coroner Caldwell was composed of the following named gentlemen: John Williams, foreman, William Paddock, John Preston, W. F. Austin, G. D. Ingersoll, L. J. Hawley, A. C. Brown, Oscar Wright. They found that the immediate cause of death was suffocation or strangulation. The deceased, who was forty-three years of age, had been a widower for about five years and had two children, daughters, who survive him. It appears that the deceased, while visiting friends at Pineville on the Saturday previous to his death, was attacked with asthma so violently that his sister at one time thought he was dying.
