    • Nancy Jane (Flower) Soule, 86 of Lacona, passed away peacefully Sunday October 9th surrounded by family and friends at University Hospital. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family friends and was legendary for her skills in the kitchen.

      Nancy was born May 4, 1930 in Oswego, NY. She is predeceased by her parents Arlington & Elizabeth (Tallman) Flower, and her sister Martha (Bob) Edick. Gordon and Nancy were married May 30, 1951 in Redfield, NY. She graduated from Sandy Creek Central School in 1949. She retired from the First National Bank (M&T) after 28 years of dedicated service. She was an active member at the First Baptist Church of Sandy Creek, Coterie Club, and Red Hat Society. She also volunteered numerous community service hours at the Lacona Fire Department, VFW, March of Dimes, and the Sandy Creek Central ( fluoride program & athletic events), and many more.

      Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Gordon, their 3 children Julie, Jill, and James (Deanna Dowlearn) Soule. Seven grandchildren: Jessica (Tim) Kimball, Amanda (Mike) Larock, Matthew (Jennifer Moody) Fults, Piper Lapham, Andrew (Leah Goodnough) Fults, Alexandra (Kevin) Alloi, and Jared Soule. Nine great grandchildren: Dylan Kimball, Hayden LaRock, Bella Aloi, Maylee LaRock, Tayler Dowlearn, Ryan Fults, Avery Fults, Parker, and Khloe Aloi. Siblings: MaryLou Yerdon, Lee Flower, Don Flower, Linda Flower Gutwein, Dorothy Nichols, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

      Calling hours will be held at the First Baptist Church of Sandy Creek (230 Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek, NY 13145) on Friday October 21st from 4-7 PM, followed by funeral services on Saturday October 22nd, at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Doug Marshall. A reception will follow the funeral, also at the church.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, in her honor.
