Lester Zufelt, 97, Pulaski, died Wednesday evening in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown.
Arrangements with the Foster-Hax Funeral Home are incomplete.
His wife, the former Pauline Cook, died Jan. 29, 1975.
The funeral for Lester Zufelt, 97, Pulaski, will be at 4 p.m. today at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek.
Mr. Zufelt died Wednesday evening in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Northern Oswego County Ambulance Corps.
Surviving are his wife, Jennie; two sons, Howard E., Camillus, and Edison L., Pulaski; three daughters, Lois Stub, Sandy Creek, Doris Loomis, Saranac Lake, and Louise Ware, Key West, Fla.; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Emma Shangle, Manlius.
A son, Lester C. Jr., died before him.
Born Oct. 8, 1895, in the town of Sandy Creek, son of Fred and Ora Wheeler Zufelt, he was a graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, and lived in Pulaski most of his life.
He married Pauline Cook Feb. 11, 1917. She died Jan. 29, 1975.
He married Jennie Claflin Nov. 18, 1977.
Mr. Zufelt retired in 1960 after 30 years with the Warren Construction Co., Syracuse. He was also owner and operator of a farm in the Sandy Creek area for many years.
