Deceased Name: EDGAR LEGARE
Services for Edgar Leo Legare, 64, of 322 Shirley Drive, who died Wednesday at his home, will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Greenleaf Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 503 W. Onondaga St.
A native of Tupper Lake, Mr. Legare lived in Syracuse 42 years. He was a self-employed house painter and previously was employed with Carrier Corp.
Mr. Legare was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He served with the Army in World War II and was a member of Salt City Post 348, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jean LaBoursoliere; two sons, Lawrence of Odessa and Scott of Syracuse ; two daughters, Linda Ortman and Carol Aseltine, both of Syracuse ; two sisters, Isabell Rushford and Thelma Trombley, both of Syracuse ; and seven grandchildren
