- KAREN ARCHER CASTRO DIES IN SYRACUSE AT 33

Karen Archer Castro, 33, of 7620 Lincoln Ave., died Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Syracuse.
Mrs. Castro had been ill with leukemia.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Surviving are a daughter, Chantel V. Castro, Pulaski; her mother, Phyllis G. Archer, Pulaski; two brothers, Charles Archer Jr., Pulaski, and Gary J. Archer, Bridgeport; and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Geraldine Bies, Oswego.
Born Dec. 15, 1958, in Oswego, daughter of Charles and Phyllis Audlin Archer, she was a 1977 graduate of Pulaski Central School.
Mrs. Castro was a life resident of Pulaski. She served as a computer operator with the Navy for 14 years, retiring last year due to ill health.
She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
