- Mrs. Mary Waldo White, 89, widow of Orange Hayden White, died Sunday morning at the home of her son, George H. White in Mexico. She was born at North Western, Oneida Co., November 19, 1840, the daughter of Isaiah and Lucy Olney Waldo. In 1862 she was married in Oneida county and in 1865 moved to Oswego county, where the greater part of her life had been spent. Mrs. White was of a retiring nature with the center of her interests in her family and home. She enjoyed reading the papers and retained her keen faculties to the end. She was a member of the First M. E. church and its missionary societies.
Surviving her are two sons, Frank White of Rome, and George H. White of Mexico, with whom she lived; three grandchildren, Mrs. Court Mowry of Rome; Miss Charlotte White of Mexico, and Harold H. White of Pontiac, Mich., and one great granddaughter, Nancy White.
Funeral services were held at her late home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Barber L. Waters, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, officiating. Interment in Pulaski cemetery in the family plot.
The bearers were Fred Rich, Willard Taylor, Grant Edick, Court Mowry, George D. Lindo and Frank N.
Chamberlain.
