      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 5, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Nancy A. Cone, Retired Housekeeper - Nancy A. Cone, 59, of 8 Church Street, died Tuesday at her home. She had suffered congestive heart failure. Mrs. Cone was a housekeeper at Schoeller Technical Papers and Super 8 Motel. She retired in 1987. Born January 31, 1941, in Syracuse, daughter of Joseph and Helen Mills Nestor, she attended Jordan-Elbridge Central School. She married John I. Cone Sr. on October 22, 1971, in Skaneateles. A previous marriage to George Ely ended in divorce. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Sherry Birdslow, Sandy Creek; two sons, Joseph J. Cone, Sandy Creek, and Ronald Ely, Bushnell, Florida; two step-daughters. Linda Theism, Riverside, California, and Laurie Phouts, Leesburg, Florida; two step-sons, John Cone Jr., Orwell, and Shawn Holt, Weedsport; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Two sons died before her, David L. Ely on July 29, 1980, and James Ely on October 19, 1988. A granddaughter died in 1989. The funeral will be at 11 am. Friday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

      Nancy A. Cone, 59, of 8 Church St.,Pulaski,died Tuesday at home.

      Born in Syracuse, she lived 25 years in Pulaski. She retired in 1987 as a housekeeper at Schoeller Technical Papers and Motel 8, both in Pulaski.

      A son, David Ely, died in 1980; a son, James Ely, died in 1988.

      Survivors: Her husband, John I. Sr.; a daughter, Sherry Birdslow of Sandy Creek; two stepdaughters, Linda Theisur of Riverside, Calif., and Laurie Phouts of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons, Joseph J. Cone of Sandy Creek and Ronald Ely of Bushnell, Fla.; two stepsons, John Cone Jr. of Orwell and Shawn Holt of Weedsport; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson.

      Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Summerville Funeral Home. Burial, Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours, 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1997 Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek.
