Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 15, 1988 Syracuse Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - Joseph J. Nestor, 69, of Deerfield Apartments, Pulaski, died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital in Syracuse after a long illness. Born in Jamesville. he lived in Jordan for 33 years and moved to Pulaski in 1983. He was manager of the State Fair Truck Stop in Syracuse and retired in 1966 due to ill health. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Mills; one daughter. Nancy Cone of Pulaski; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Nestor of Nedrow; a sister, Frances Brooks of East Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, and 11 a.m. in St. Francis Church, Lacona, the Rev. Raymond McVey officiating. Spring burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 8192 Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
