July 21, 1893 - Emily H. Bennett, age 65 years, 7 months, 21 days, born in Lee, Oneida County, New York, Daughter of Elisha H. Stewart and Martha Lattimer, died in Pulaski of fatty degeneration of the liver, peritonitis.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, July 27, 1893 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In Pulaski, New York, July 21, 1893, Emily H., wife of Levi M. Bennett. Deceased was born in Lee, Oneida Co., December 1, 1827. She was the daughter of Elisha H. and Martha Street. She was first married at Utica in 1847, to George W. Lamb, and in 1884 to Mr. Bennett, who survives her. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. James W. Simons, of this village, and Mrs. George W. Boiles, of Hoboken, New Jersey, and a brother and sister, Chauncey W. Street, of Syracuse, and Mrs. Alzina Cook, of Lee. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, having united with that denomination in Rome some forty years since. For about two months she was a great sufferer from some obscure disease, probably of the stomach or liver, which rendered living a terrible burden. Her husband and friends deeply mourn her departure.
