Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 11, 1900 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Nancy Trumbull - Entered into rest on the morning of July 6, Nancy, wife of the late Horace Trumbull. Her father, Reuben Bennett, was one of the pioneers of Oswego County, coming from Vermont as one of the first settlers in this town in 1809. Only one of a family of ten children survive. After years of great activity and physical strength she was obliged to sit almost helpless, and at times suffering severe pain, which she bore with great patience, and Christian fortitude, but never with repining. She was born on the farm now owned by William Woods near this village, August 2, 1820. Two sons, E. E. Trumbull of Plattsburgh and S. R. Trumbull of this village survive her. During her illness she was consistently looking forward to her release. Her last words were, "Jesus, Come, I am now ready."
Newspaper Article - Wednesday, July 11, 1900 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Leihy - The remains of Mrs. Nancy Bennett Trumbull were interred in Riverside cemetery on Sunday last. Mrs. Trumbull had been a lifelong resident of Leihy until her removal to Pulaski several years ago and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
