      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 9, 1944 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Harry Whaley Dies at Richland - Harry Whaley, 58, resident of Richland, died Friday evening at Oswego county sanatorium following an illness of about a year. Son of Martin and Helen Myers Whaley, Mr. Whaley was born in. the town of Albion. He had been an employee of the New York. Central railroad for the last 40 years and was a brakeman for the last 38 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edith Doane Whaley; nine children_ Mrs. Bessie Wagner and Miss Anna Whaley of Syracuse, Oscar, Archie and Dayton Whaley at home, Pvt. Lyle Whaley at Fort Leonard, Wood, Missouri, Pvt. Lloyd Whaley serving overseas, Robert Whaley of Utica and Orley Whaley of Richland; a brother, Thomas Whaley of Richland; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Mattison, Richland; eight grandchildren and an uncle, Archie Whaley of Minetto. The funeral was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the home of Orley Whaley in Richland. Burial in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski.
