    • Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 17, 1901 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Altmar - Gilbert Bennett, aged 98 years, father of Isaac Bennett, for many years a resident of our town, died at Oswego, yesterday. We understand his remains will be brought to Pekin for intennent.

      Newspaper Article - Wednesday, April 24, 1901 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - Mr. Gill Bennett, the first resident of Orwell, died in Oswego, last week, at the home of his grandson, Thomas Bennett. The remains were brought here for burial in Molino Cemetery. He came to this town in 1807 and besides the first resident he was the last pioneer. He leaves one son, Isaac Bennett, two daughters, Mrs. Kate Thomas and Mrs. John Wright. He was ninety-seven years of age.
