- Vanwormer, William J., 63, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (Aug. 27, 1995) at home. Born in Watertown, N.Y., he came here in 1988 from Liverpool, N.Y., and worked in maintenance for many years at various apartment complexes in New York and Florida. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. He was a Catholic. Survivors include his wife of eight years; Elayne M.; seven sons, William J. Jr.; Statesville,N.C., David, Syracuse and Peter, Timothy, Patrick, Danny, Joe, all of Mexico, N.Y.; three daughters, Linda Carley, Laurie Dunn, and Lisa Vanwormer, all of Syracuse, a sister, Louise Bishop, Watertown; and several grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Largo.
