      The funeral for Charlotte B. Salisbury will be 2 pm Sunday, April 12th at the Mannsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daniel Lincoln and Rev. Mary Drake co-officiating. Burial will be later in the spring in Maplewood Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday, April 11th from 3 pm - 6 pm at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Memorial contributions may be to the South Jefferson Rescue Squad, PO Box 126, Adams, NY 13605. Mrs. Salisbury, 89, of the Lemay Rd., Adams, passed away Wednesday April 8th at the Samaritan Medical Center. She was born in the Town of Ellisburg September 11, 1925, a daughter to Kenneth and Emily Burden VanWormer, and was raised at the VanWormer Homestead. She graduated from Mannsville-Manor Central School in 1943. She continued her education at the Central City Business Institute (CCBI) and the Home Health Aid courses at the Jeff-Lewis BOCES Center. Charlotte was employed as a secretary for eye doctor Dr. Worfman in Syracuse, Northern New York Trust Co., the Weldon Law Firm, Jefferson County Journal and the Goslin Chrysler-Plymouth Car Dealership in Adams. She later worked as a switchboard operator at the House of the Good Samaritan, home health aide and nurses aide at the Samaritan Keep Home retiring in 1989. She married Louis Herbert Salisbury June 15, 1957 in Milford, NY. Mr. and Mrs. Salisbury lived in Adams from 1960- 1968 and were 40 year residents of Mannsville until moving to their present home in 2007. Mrs. Salisbury was a past member and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an emergency medical technician with the Mannsville Ambulance Squad. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking and bowling. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Louis (Herbert), Adams; her daughter Alice (John) Tyler, Adams; two sons Jeffrey (Laure) Salisbury, Adams and David (Jody) Crast, Baldwinsville; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; her brother Kenneth VanWormer, Jr., Harvard, MA and a sister Evelyn Crast, Adams; several nieces and nephews.
