- Obituary of Donald L. Bellows
Donald “Whitey” L. Bellows, age 85, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Friday at his home in Florida. Donald was born September 1, 1934 in Liverpool, the son of Harrison and Lillian Sloper Bellows. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1953 and served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1956. Donald married Dorothy Woolson on July 2, 1977. He owned and operated Bellows Roofing for 50 years. He was also employed by GE for several years. Donald was a officer and member of the Ringgold Fire Department for 30 years. He was a member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge #415 and the Shriners in Watertown. He was also a member of the Robert Edwards American Legion Post #357 in Pulaski and the Pulaski VFW Post #7289
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, three daughters, Terry Ann (Wesley) VanPatten of Salisbury, NC, Donna Lee (Richard) Abbott of Mooresville, NC, and Sharlene Jean Mott (Steven Bognacki) of Honesdale, PA, three stepdaughters, Kathleen (Marvin) Walker of Zephyrhills, FL, Jessie Ann (Dan) MacDonald of Clifton Springs, NY and Sandra Lee Ordway (Dave Cunningham) of Brooksville, FL, two stepsons, Edmond (Linda) Yelle of Brooksville, FL and Richard (Karen) Yelle of Hastings, NY, many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Donald was predeceased by one stepdaughter Marlene Loomis who died in 2013 and one stepson Terry Yelle who died in 2004.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, February 18th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with spring burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
