- Obituary of Cecilia J. Clark
Cecilia “Gabby” J. Clark, age 91, resident of Pulaski for the last 34 years, passed away Tuesday February 11, 2020 at Elderwood Nursing Home in Liverpool. She had previously lived in West Monroe for 20 years and moved and traveled with her husband in his career as he was assigned in the Navy. Cecilia was born October 16, 1928 in Syracuse, the daughter of Clarence and Cecilia Smith Schafer. She attended St. Margaret’s Catholic School in Syracuse. Cecilia married Richard J. Clark on October 15, 1947 and he passed away July 25, 2000. She was retired from Hancock Field in Syracuse from the commissary after 22 years of service. She also worked at Gas Mart in Pulaski for ten years after retiring from the commissary. She attended Pulaski Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are her daughter Nancy (Vincent) Lobdell of Pulaski, her son, Richard J. (Susan) Clark, Jr., of Clay, two sisters, Verna Roehm of North Carolina and Jodell (Rick) George of Liverpool, two brothers, James (Lita) Shafer of Brewerton and Harvey (Sandy) Rima of North Carolina, four grandchildren Sean (Carrie) Clark, Corey (Maria) Clark, Vinny (Suzie) Lobdell, Amy (Sean) Mclaughlin and 14 great-grandchildren. Cecilia was predeceased by one grandson, Russell R. Lobdell who died in 1994.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, February 15th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with spring burial in Maplelawn Cemetery, Dugway. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. There will be a celebration of her life at the Kallet Theater in Pulaski immediately following the funeral service (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
