- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 11, 1907 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Altmar - Mrs. Marion B. Simons was born in this village, August 12, 1834, and died December 6, 1907. She was one of a large family of children born to the late Thomas Henderson and wife, of whom but one, Mrs. Isaac Bennett, of Fulton, is now living. Mrs. Simons had spent a good share of her life in this village where, by her gentle and unassuming manner and lovable nature, she had endeared herself to a host of friends. For the last few months she had been a great sufferer but was patient and sweet through it all. The loving care given her by her elder daughter, Emma, made her life happy. The sympathy of many friends is extended to Miss Emma who was left alone and will sorely miss the companionship of her mother as they had always been together and were devoted to each other. The funeral services were held from her late home of the deceased, Monday afternoon, Rev. B. E. Whipple, pastor of St. John's Episcopal church, officiating. Beautiful flowers testified to the love of relatives and friends. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery. Friends from out of town who attended the funeral were: Briggs Hinckley, Mrs. Toole, of Camden; Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bennett, G. H. Bennett, of Fulton; Mrs. L. Henderson, Mrs. Frederick Whitney, of Pulaski; Miss Mary Henderson, Thomas H. Bennett, of Oswego.
