    • Obituary- Louise C. Bishop, 86, a resident at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home passed July 13, 2013 at the Hospice Residence on Gotham Street in Watertown. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, with Father Mike Gaffney, Pastor of Immaculate Conception officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 15 at the funeral home. Born on April 9, 1927, in Watertown, daughter of Ralph and Catherine Mickens Van Wormer, she attended Watertown schools. She married Robert Bishop in October of 1945 in Watertown. Mrs. Bishop and her husband owned and operated restaurants in the local area. She worked ten years at Wiley School as a custodian before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a communicate of Holy Family Church. Among her survivors are her daughter and son in law, Sally L. and Frederick J. Piche, Watertown; three sons and a daughter in law, Robert R. and Kim Bishop, TX, Lester E. Bishop and his companion Lori Fox, Evans Mills, Ronald A. Bishop and his companion Melanie Gorczyca, Georgia; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her husband passed in January of 1981; two sons, William and Randy Bishop; two daughters, Theresa Windover, Catherine Bishop; a sister, Florence Rodel and two brothers, William and Ralph "Bucky" VanWormer all died before her.
