- Newspaper Obituary - November 19, 1966 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Williamstown - Mrs. Rose Trumble Britton, 78, of Williamstown, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, after a short illness. She was born in Parish and was a member of the Federated Church of Williamstown. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Federated Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Barter Funeral Home, Parish. She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Julia McLaughlin of Mexico, Mrs. Mary Meagher of Camden, Mrs. Wilmina White of Orwell, Mrs. Viola Howard of Parish, Mrs. Ada Bulson of Brewerton, Mrs. Elsie Wheeler of Altmar and Mrs. Rose Peck of Williamstown ; six sons, Fred and William Britton, both of Williamstown, Harold Warren of Phoenix, Seymour Britton of Canastota, Fay Britton of Chittenango and Robert Britton of Mexico; 70 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ira Trumble. of Richland, and three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Comstock of Syracuse, Mrs. Pearl Alger of Constantia and Mrs. Bertha Helbock of Williamstown.
