He was of Foster, Rhode Island for some years, but removed to New York state. He married February 18, 1762 Comfort, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Foster) Greene born July 26, 1738. Her father John Green (Peter, Peter, John, John) was her husband's third cousin. William Green died in New York state.
