    • Online Obituary - Robert C. Baker, age 67, of Wayne, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday (June 12, 2016) at his home. He was born on April 12, 1949 to the late Theodore C. & Elizabeth (Sprake) Baker. On October 27, 1960 at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland Robert underwent an Artificial Aortic Valve Replacement due to his heart being damaged from Rheumatic Fever. He was listed in the Guinness Book of World Record as being the first child, the fifth patient, and the oldest living survivor with this heart valve transplant. All his life Robert was very supportive of people with the same heart valve problem, and would do anything he could to help them. Robert married Olga Y. Tsilina on July 11, 1997 in Chicago, Illinois. Surviving Robert are his loving wife of 18 years, Olga; sisters, Nina, Margaret, and Lola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore & Elizabeth. Robert C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Elizabeth. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday (June 15, 2016) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Vernagaye Sullivan officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
