    • Newspaper Obituary - Monday, December 1, 1997 Watertown Daily Times (NY) - Alice Hotelling Retired Teacher - Alice B. Hotelling, 90, formerly of Pulaski, died Saturday at Long Island Jewish Hospital. She taught in rural schools for two years, at Altmar - Parish - Williamstown Central School for 16 years and at North Syracuse Central School, Allen Road, for 10 years. She also taught for nine years in Bakersfield, Calif. Mrs. Hotelling was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Rose Garden Club, New York State Retired Teachers Association, Oswego County Retired Teachers Association and California Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Pulaski Baptist Church and the church's Ann Judson Group. Born Feb. 19, 1907, at Redfield, a daughter of John and Delia Stewart Bush, she graduated from Pulaski High School in 1926, from Pulaski Teachers Training Class in 1927 and from Oswego Normal School in 1931. She received a bachelor's degree in education in 1950, and a master's degree in 1952, from Oswego State Teachers College. She married Wallace F. Hotelling on Aug. 16, 1931, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sanderson, Lincoln Ave, Pulaski, with the Rev. Winfield S. Warren officiating. Mrs. Hotelling died in 1969. Surviving are two sons, John H., Long Island, and James F., Clay; two daughters, Rosina Manwaring, Altmar, and Roberta Pursell, Minooka, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., with the Rev. Robert Varnum officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
