- Oswego Palladium-Times, 2 June 1953: CLINTON E. OLIN Lacona-- Clinton E. Olin of this village died Monday on his 54th birthday of a heart ailment in Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, where he had been taken by ambulance. He was the son of Lewis Olin and Minnie Looker Olin. He married Hazel Riley in April 1936, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Herbert Harrison, then pastor of the Sandy Creek Methodist Church and now in Olean. Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Ronald Olin; four brothers, Samuel of Redfield, Floyd of Barnes Corners, Clyde of Redfield and Delbert Olin of Orwell; three sisters, Mrs. Lynn (Ella) Phillips of Pulaski, Mrs. William (Blanche) Sweet of Pulaski, Mrs. Everett (Edith) LaSalle of RD, Sandy Creek; and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held... Wednesday at the home, the Rev. Leland W. Webster, pastor of Sandy Creek Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, RD, Lacona.
