Burial: Evergreen Cemetery in Orwell. Calling Hour: Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Contributions to Vorea Community Church.

      Marjorie E. Elkin, 95, formerly of Orwell & Pulaski, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at James Square Nursing Home in Syracuse. She was born June 5, 1921 in the Town of Albion, daughter of the late Everett & Edith Olin LaCelle. Graduated from Sandy Creek School in 1939. Married January 18, 1941 in Lacona to Earl D. Elkin. He died May 28, 1991. Survived by her daughter, Patricia (Milferd) Potter of Pulaski, 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Elaine France & Sandra Jean Taplin. Funeral services were held October 1st from Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Orwell. Contributions may be made to Vorea Community Church.
