    • Mary J. Hughes, age 65 of Atwater, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017.

      She was born June 27, 1951, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Paul and Evelyn (Cody) Hughes. Mary retired from the GE Plant in Ravenna. She attended the Full Gospel Mission Church and the Atwater Congregational Church. Mary loved horses and enjoyed attending and participating in horse shows. She also loved all of her dogs.

      Mary is survived by her brothers: David Hughes of Atwater and Russell (Missy) Hughes of Ravenna; as well as many nieces and nephews.

      Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Barbara Ann Hughes, and her brother Emmett (Evelyn) Hughes.

      Friends will be received Wednesday, March 29, 2017, from 10:00 11:00 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Pastor Rich Hall officiating her funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
