    • Gertrude Elkin, 90, died Friday night in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, after a short illness. She was born May 31,1893 in the Town of Orwell, the daughter of Walter and Esther Prouty Clement. She attended the Orwell District schools. She was married to Don R. Elkin. He died March 17, 1981. She is survived by two sons, Harry C. Elkin of Lacona and Earl O. Elkin of Melbourne,. Fla.; two daughters. Mrs. Paul (Marion) Kenway of Orwell and Mrs. Anna Mae Walker of Brandywine, Md.: nine grandchildren: and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Pulaski, Rev. Stanley Tanner, pastor of the Orwell Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
