      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 7, 1929 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Orwell - Charles E. West, aged 80 years, died January 25 at his home in Port Byron, following an illness of one week. Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Sheeley, Tariffville, Connecticut; Mrs. Warren Mott, Cayuga; Mrs. Harry Laws, East Syracuse, and Mrs. Margaret Gilbert, Skaneateles. Mr. West who had lived in Cayuga County about fifteen years, was born in the town of Orwell. Burial will be made in Evergreen cemetery in the spring.
