Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 2, 1936 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Miss Hazel West - Miss Hazel West, age 44 years, died early Friday morning, March 27, 1936, at the home of Mrs. Levi N. Jones, where she had been cared for during the past two years. Miss West was born in Orwell June 29, 1891, a daughter of the late Albert and Frances Butts West, and had been an invalid all her life. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Oren Coon, Pulaski, and one brother, John West, of Middletown. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Jones home, with Rev. Stanley Lawrence of Sandy Creek, officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Evergreen cemetery.
