Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 10, 1915 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Sudden Death Yesterday - Mrs. Ruth West died yesterday afternoon after an illness of less than a day. Mrs. L. H. West was away yesterday and the deceased got her son's dinner yesterday, and about 4 o'clock was taken sick. A physician was called, but her illness did not seem serious. At noon yesterday, she seemed better and her son, Mr. L. H. West, went to work after dinner. Later she was worse and died at about 2 of acute indigestion. Ruth Damon was born in Orwell, May 17, 1835, and was nearly 80 years old. About 60 years ago she married Gaylord H. West, who died here last June. Most of her life has been spent in Oswego county at several places. About 45 years ago she was a resident of Camden for a short time, and since September, 1913, has lived here with her son. Mrs. West was a member of the M. E. church of Oswego, and was a cheerful, lovable woman, who had a good word for everyone. She is survived by three sons: A. E. West of Rome, A. D. West of Syracuse, and L. H. West of Camden, who have the sympathy of the community in the loss of a devoted mother. The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the home of her son on Second street, with Rev. Frederick Maunder as the officiating clergyman. The remains will be taken to Orwell on the 2:25 train for interment. - Camden Advance, March 4.
