    • Esther Amy Stowell Stevens - July 9, 1843 - March 7, 1932. Daughter of John Nelson and Sarah Ann Greenfield Stowell. Wife of John Marvin Stevens.

      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 9, 1932 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Stevens Dies at Orwell Home - Mrs. John Stevens, 88, life resident of Orwell, died Monday night at her home of bronchial pneumonia, from which she had suffered since Thursday. Born in July, 1843, she was a daughter of John M. and Sarah Ann Stowell. Her maiden name was Esther Amy Stowell. Mr. Stevens died 19 years ago and since that time Mrs. Stevens had made her home with her son, R. L. Stevens at Orwell. Surviving are two other sons, Guy and Ernest Stevens of Orwell; two daughters, Mrs. Ward Greenfield of Orwell and Mrs. Edith Mattison of San Antonio, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. James Bambury, and a brother, John M. Stowell, both of Orwell. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Orwell Evergreen cemetery.
