Husband of Elizabeth Maria Allen Aldrich (married October 8, 1892 at Sand Bank, Albion Township, Oswego County, New York; divorced) & Ida Myrtle Carnahan Aldrich (married before 1920.) [Notes: Elizabeth Allen Aldrich died May 13, 1937 in Mexico, New York; according to her obituary, she is buried in Richland Cemetery, but she cannot be found there unless she is in an unmarked grave.]

Aldrich, 72 - William Newton Aldrich, 72, died suddenly at his home on the Orwell-Lacona road on August 9. He had been in his usual health until only a few minutes before he died. Death was due to a heart attack. Funeral services were held from the home Thursday afternoon at 2. Rev. Robert Rowsam, pastor of the Richland Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Orwell. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna M. Aldrich; five sons, Sylvester and Vernon Aldrich of Orwell; Charles and Herbert Aldrich, Syracuse and Richard Aldrich, Mexico; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Roberts, Lacona; Mrs. Frank Decon, Fulton and two brothers, Frank of Pennellville and Merritt Aldrich of Detroit, Michigan, and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Dennie, Camden. Mr. Aldrich was born in Jefferson County, October 16, 1875, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Watson Aldrich. He had lived most of his life in the vicinity of Orwell. In his early life he lost his arm in an accident. For many years he was employed by the New York Central railroad and later was employed by the town of Orwell and on various farms in the vicinity.
