Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 2, 1971 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Norma Clement Dies May 28 - Death came unexpectedly on Friday, May 28 for Norma M. Clement, 77 of South Ridge Road, Lacona. Mrs. Clement was stricken at her home. Born December 16, 1893 in the Town of Albion, she was a daughter of Charles and Olive Fitch Elkin and graduated from Pulaski Academy and Cortland Normal School. She taught for 30 years, 25 of which were as principal of the Richland school. She became the wife of J. D. Clement on July 17, 1920 at Taberg, with the Rev. Walter B. Clement, father of the bridegroom as officiating clergyman. She was a member of the Orwell Rebekah Lodge, Pulaski Chapter No. 159, OES, Sandy Creek Grange and the Pulaski Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband; two brothers, Charles Elkin of Redfield and Don Elkin of Orwell; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Ivan Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
