Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 30 1930 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Helen Casler - Mrs. Helen Casler, formerly of Pulaski, died Tuesday evening, April 22, at the Women's Relief Corps Home, Oxford, New York, following an illness of five days. She had been a resident of the home for five years. Mrs. Casler was born in Orwell, February 8, 1848, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Allen, and had spent her entire life in this vicinity. Her husband, Lorendo Casler [sic], died many years ago. She was a member of the Universalist church and was an active worker as a member of J. B. Butler W.R.C. of Pulaski. Surviving are two nephews, Dr. Albert Allen of San Pedro, California, and Charles E. Allen of Chicago, and two nieces, Mrs. W. E. Flenar of North Manchester, Indiana, and Mrs. Charles J. Wightman of Pulaski. The funeral was held from the Wightman home on Jefferson street, Friday. Rev. Lowell H. Palmer, pastor of the Congregational church officiated. Friends from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. Fred Casler and Mrs. Ethel VanDerwalker of Dexter. Interment was made in the Orwell cemetery.
