Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 9, 1903 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Edwin H. Minot who has been prominent in this village for many years, passed away Friday September 4th, after several weeks of sickness. Mr. Minot was born in Seuyler, Herkimer County 75 years ago. He was inclined after knowledge and therefore obtained a good education and engaged in literary pursuits for some time. He came to this village many years ago and was for some time engaged in the insurance business and has been engaged in agriculture. He was a student of literature and could read the most profound books with perfect understanding. He had a ready pen for sketch and poetry, and has left to his friends a legacy of verse which is worthy a place among best poems written, prominent among which is his poen on "The Salmon River." He leaves a wife, two daughters, Mrs. J. D. Ledgyard and Mrs. E. D. Bennett of this village, and one son, Thomas F. Minot of Los Angeles, California. His funeral was held from the home Sunday at two o'clock, Rev. S. O. Barnes officiating.
