Wife of Thomas Allen Burrows (married October 30, 1920 in Lisbon, St. Lawrence County, New York) & Ernest DeForest Stevens (married August 16, 1931 at Lisbon, St. Lawrence County, New York.) [Notes: Thomas Burrows was born September 1, 1899 in St, Lawrence County, New York, a son of Edward and Ellen Glass Burrows. Thomas died May 8, 1922 in Ogdensburg, New York, and is buried in Flackville Cemetery at Lisbon, New York.]
      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 8, 1970 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Hazel Stevens Dies January 2 - Hazel Mae Stevens, 71, of 7458 Box Street, Pulaski, died Friday, January 2, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown. She was born at Lisbon, New York, February 9, 1898, and was married August 16, 1931 to Ernest Stevens. They lived nearly all their married life in Orwell, until coming to Pulaski over two years ago. She was a retired practical nurse. She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Eve Mae Holley of Parish, Mary Jane Ferro of Fulton, Harriet E. Hilton of Orwell and Amy Stevens of Salt Lake City, Utah; a son, Ernest E. Stevens of Orwell; four stepchildren, Donald of Richland, George of Lacona, Albert of Desert Hot Springs, California; and Floyd of Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Simser of Dunnellon, Florida and Mrs. Beulah Dennis of Lisbon. Funeral services were held Monday, January 5, at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
