Myers Carpenter (married October 15, 1899 at Orwell, New York) & Eva Permelia Mase Carman Carpenter. [Note: Eva Mase was born about January 1872, a daughter of Theodore Merwin and Emily C. Frayer Mase. Eva was first married to Andrew Carman on February 19, 1890 at Prattsville, Greene County, New York, he died May 25, 1926. Eva died November 8, 1946, she is buried with Andrew in Fairlawn Cemetery at Prattsville, Greene County, New York.]
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 26, 1947 The Stamford Mirror-Recorder - Stamford, New York - Reuben E. Carpenter - Ordained Minister Died Suddenly at His Prattsville Home June 19 - From Prattsville Correspondent - The sudden death of Reuben E. Carpenter, occurred at his home in this village, in the very early hours of Thursday morning, June 19th. Mr. Carpenter had been in his usual health, but suffered a heart attack which caused his death. He was born March 12, 1877, at North Rose, New York, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Carpenter. He was an ordained minister of the Protestant Methodist Conference. After his marriage to Eva Mase Carman, he took up the profession of shoe making, which he followed until his death. A prayer service was held at the Shaver Funeral Home on Saturday evening. The body was taken to Orwell, New York, where funeral services were held. Burial was made in Orwell cemetery. He is survived by one son, Egbert, of Watertown, New York, and two sisters of North Rose, New York.
