      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 13, 1972 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Kenneth W. Carpenter Dies in Florida at Age 64 - Kenneth W. Carpenter, 64, formerly of Orwell, died September 7, Thursday, at his home in Lakeland, Florida. Kenneth Carpenter was born in Orwell June 12, 1908, as the son of Oren and Mary Witt Carpenter. He attended Orwell School and Pulaski High School and on August 15, 1928 he married Gladys Carpenter of Pulaski. The Carpenters resided in Orwell until 1946 when they moved to Lakeland, Florida where Mr. Carpenter was employed in the building trade. He later operated Kenney’s TV Sales and Service in Florida until retiring 6 years ago due to ill health. Kenneth Carpenter served as Noble Grand in Orwell and Lakeland lodges of the I.O.O.F, and was a member of Sunniland Rebekah Lodge, Lakeland, and a member of Orwell Union Church. He is survived by his wife and one son, Frederick of Houston, Texas, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Clodfelter of Fort Myers, Florida, three grandchildren and one brother, Harold of Lakeland, Florida. The funeral was Monday, September 11 at the Foster Hax Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Greenfield, pastor of the Orwell Union Church officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
