Clifford, 76, of County Route 22, who died Friday, November 11 at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, was in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. He was born in Richland and moved to Orwell in 1930. Mr. Clifford attended the Rochester district schools. He was employed at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation at the Venice Bridge and Lighthouse Hill power stations, retiring in 1975. Mr. Clifford was a member of Amboy Lodge FA&M Lodge 650 and the Niagara Mohawk 25-Year Club. Surviving are his wife, Arline M.; a son, James A. of Hampton, New Hampshire; a daughter, Frances Bellinger of Westminster, Maryland; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Granville A. Clifford, 76, died in the emergency room of the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, after being stricken ill at his home Friday night.
There will be no funeral or calling hours. Donations may be made to Northern Oswego County Ambulance.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Arrangements are with the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
He is survived by his wife Arline M., a son James A., Hampton N.H.; a daughter, Frances Bellinger, Westminster, Md., four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A brother, Kenneth, and a sister, Blossom E. Dorsey, died before him.
Born May 20, 1912, at Richland, he was a son of Grover and Caroline Miller Clifford.
He attended Rochester schools.
Mr. Clifford was married to Arline M. Thomas Dec. 2, 1931, at Adams.
He was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. at Bennett's Bridge, Orwell from 1938 until he retired in 1975.
He was a member of the Niagara Mohawk 25-Year Club and of Amboy Lodge 650 F & AM.
