Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 25, 1985 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Harold E. Castor, 57, of Altmar, died Monday, February 18, 1985 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. He was born June 6, 1927, in Ricard. He attended Ricard schools. He was married September 15, 1951, to Anna May Countryman. He served in the Army from 1950 to 1952 in the Korean War. From 1952 to 1970 he worked as a mechanic in area garages. He then owned and operated his own auto repair service in Altmar. He was a member of the Russell Tryon American Legion Post, Altmar. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Ronald of Houston, Texas, and Donald of Arlington, Virginia; two daughters, Patricia Kaple of Orwell, and Jeanette Castor of Sandy Creek; and 11 grandchildren. Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours were 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
