Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, June 23, 1923 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Funeral Services for Frank Hilton, Orwell Farmer, Who Died from Injuries - Pulaski, June 23 - Funeral services for Frank Hilton, 68, Orwell farmer, who died in Ideal Rest Hospital Wednesday night, were held this afternoon from Union Church, Orwell, the Rev. I. Newton Stellman officiating. Mr. Hilton, a lifelong resident of the town of Orwell and a widower who lived alone on his farm near the village, fell beneath the wheels of a heavy truck driven by Dean Williams Monday afternoon, after securing permission to ride to the village with Williams. His left ankle was badly crushed, and Dr. P. D. Bailey, Dr. Schillman and Dr. A. G. Dunbar amputated his foot late Wednesday afternoon. Death followed within several hours, owing to shock. Mr. Hilton is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Newcomb, of Osceola; three brothers, Lafayette, Charles and Don, all of Orwell, and a sister, Mrs. Etta Vandewalker, of Orwell village. Interment was made this afternoon in Evergreen cemetery.
