      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 29, 1929 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Mrs. Julia Clifford - Mrs. Julia Clifford died Friday morning, August 23rd at the age of 64 years after a lingering illness throughout which she was a very patient sufferer. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss seven children, four girls, Mrs. Frank Stinson of Woodville, Mrs. Melvin Clemons of Greensboro and Mrs. William Dempsey of Oswego and Mrs. W. R. Hasseler who lived with her, and three boys, Grover Clifford of Wharton, Texas, Granville Clifford of Pulaski and Albert Clifford of Syracuse. There are eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and three sisters, Mrs. Michael Lynch, Mrs. Amanda Hurley, and Mrs. Thomas Coleman of Utica and two brothers, John Brown of this place and William Brown of Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from St. John's church at Pulaski. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery at Orwell.
