      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 23, 1942 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell Farmer Takes Own Life - Pulaski residents were shocked by the reports Tuesday morning of the suicidal death of Dwight E. McKinney, 54, a farmer on the Richland- Orwell road, and a lifelong resident of this vicinity. After taking his granddaughter to school and returning, McKinney apparently suffered from melancholia, went to his barn and hanged himself, about 9:30 a.m. His body was found by the hired man, William Lewis. A certificate of death by suicide was signed by Dr. A. B. Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose McKinney, and three sisters, Mrs. Herb Cooper, Mrs. Florence Potter of Orwell, and Mrs. Sam Bass of Pulaski.
