Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 3, 1979 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Deforest F. Stowell - Deforest F. Stowell, 86, Wagner Road, Orwell, Route 1, died Wednesday, December 27, at his home. The funeral was held Friday, December 29 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with Rev. David Rudd, pastor, Vorea Community Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Orwell. He is survived by two grandnieces, Mrs. Russell (Myra) Marshall, and Mrs. Charles (Shirley) Smith, both of Orwell, and two grandnephews, Dee C. Potter, Pulaski, and Clarence E. Potter, Jacksonville, Florida. Born April 6, 1892, in the Town of Orwell, a son of Orville and Arlette Finster Stowell, he attended Orwell district schools and was a life resident of the town of Orwell where he owned and operated a dairy farm on the Wagner Road for many years. He retired from farming in 1971. Donations may be made in his name to the Vorea Community Church.
