      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 26, 2003 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Carole E. Dana, 56, of 498 County Route 50, died of complications of cancer Sunday at her home. Mrs. Dana was a homemaker and a life resident of the Altmar-Orwell area. She was a member of Russell Tryon American Legion Post 1435 Auxiliary, Altmar. Born November 26, 1946, in Syracuse, daughter of Arnold and Vera Barnard Armstrong, she graduated in 1963 from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School, Parish. She married Gordon Dana on March 13, 1965, at Altmar Methodist Church. He died February 5, 1994. Surviving besides her father, of Altmar, are three sons, Michael B., Oxford, Pennsylvania, Ronald W., Lacona, and Eric A., Orwell; her companion, Oren Lyons, Orwell; a sister, Merilee Heath, Forest, Virginia; a brother, David Armstrong, Potsdam, and seven grandchildren. A son, Matthew, died in 1980. The funeral will be at noon Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Jason Woodford, pastor of Richland Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
