- Rozell Alexander Pennock - July 26, 1887 - August 28, 1973. Son of Henry Joseph and Ellen Marie Potter Pennock. Husband of Caroline Marie Moerschler Pennock (married April 30, 1912 in Syracuse, New York) & Lena E. LaRue Breisch Pennock (married December 18, 1943 at Lyons, Wayne County, New York.) [Notes: Lena LaRue was born September 23, 1883 in Port Gibson, New York, a daughter of Mortimer and Mary Ann McClelland LaRue. Lena died January 30, 1962 in Lyons, Wayne County, New York, and is buried there in South Lyons Cemetery.]
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 5, 1973 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rozell A. Pennock Dies At Evergreens - Rozell A. Pennock, age 76, of R. D. 3 Pulaski, died Tuesday, August 28, at the Evergreen’s Nursing Home, Pulaski. He was born July 26, 1887 in the Town of Orwell, son of Henry and Ellen Potter Pennock. Mr. Pennock attended school in Orwell, and married Caroline Moerschler, who died many years ago. In 1943 he was married to Lena Breisch. She died in 1962. He was employed by the Street Car Company in Syracuse. Later he owned and operated a farm in Orwell and for many years was a carpenter on the Penn Central Railroad. He retired in 1957. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Roy (Myrtis) Hopkins, Garden Grove, California; one son, Latham E. Pennock, with whom Mr. Pennock lived prior to residing at the nursing home, who died March 17, 1970; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George (Beulah) Young of Lyons, New York, Mrs. Lewis (Evelyn) Radley of Scottsdale, Arizona; one stepson, Nelson Breisch of Lyons, New York; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Marshall and L. D. Pennock, both of Lacona; and a daughter in law, Keitha Pennock of Pulaski. The funeral was at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 30, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, the Rev. Edwin A. Potter, of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
