Newspaper Obituary - Friday, September 26, 2003 Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - John D. Monteith, 79, of Pulaski died Thursday, September 25, 2003 at his home. He is survived by three sons; three daughters; two brothers; three sisters. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Calling hours will be 11:30 to 1:30 on Saturday.
Watertown Daily Times, 26 Sep 2003: JOHN D. MONTEITH WORKED FOR STATE DOT John D. Monteith, 79, Pulaski, died Thursday at his home. Mr. Monteith worked for 31 years for the state Department of Transportation at Maple View, retiring in 1986. Born Nov. 27, 1923, in Orwell, son of Everett and Ruth Roser Monteith, he attended school in Orwell. A marriage ended in divorce. Surviving are his companion, Bev Comins; two sons, Steven and John Jr., both of Pulaski; three daughters, Susan Grover, Jacksonville, N.C., Sandra Redden, Mexico, and Margaret Bariga, Rochester; two brothers, Robert, Mexico, and Edward, Redfield; three sisters, Janet Woods, Orwell, Gertrude Smith, Maple View, and Beverly Clark, Taberg, 12 grandchildren... The funeral will be .... Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Wiltse officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
