    • Josiah Hilton - August 24, 1839 - April 12, 1921. Son of Peter and Sarah Ann Preston Hilton. Husband of Pearlina Lovisa Stowell Hilton. Married October 23, 1859 at Orwell, New York.
      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 20, 1921 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - Josiah Hilton, last of the family of his father, Peter Hilton, Sr., was born in the town of Orwell, August 24, 1839 and passed away Tuesday, April 12, after several months of illness. He was united in marriage with Miss Paulina Stowell, October 23, 1859. Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, John J., of Orwell, George N. of Pulaski, one daughter, Mrs. Almeda A. Williams of Altmar, several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. The funeral service which was conducted in Orwell church, by Rev. Walter Clement of Taberg, was attended in a body by members of Welcome Lodge, I.O.O.F., No. 680, of which he had been a member many years. A large circle of relatives from out of town were present at the funeral. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery, Friday afternoon.
