      Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, November 25, 1990 Syracuse Herald American - Syracuse, New York - Donald Finster - Donald Finster, 50, of 5876 Gillette Road, Cicero, died Friday at University Hospital after a long illness. Born on May 24, 1940, in Oswego, Mr. Finster lived for several years on the Finster Farm in Orwell before attending and graduating from college at the State University of New York at Oswego. He was a fifth grade teacher at Cicero Elementary School for 20 years before retiring in 1983 due to illness. He also taught elementary school in the Rome school system. Mr. Finster was active in the Cicero United Methodist Church and more recently in the Beacon Baptist Church. Mr. Finster had a special concern and interest in his students and friends, family members said. Surviving are his mother, Ruth L. Finster of Cicero; two brothers, Bruce of Springwater and John of South Dakota; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday December 1, at the Cicero United Methodist Church. There will be no calling hours.
